Ang Kiukok

Ang Kiukok was especially known for his works that depicted violent imagery. Having worked during the repressive dictatorship of Ferdinand Marcos, his art often reflected the political strife of that time but was usually veiled in shrouds of metaphor to avoid being detected. Being well versed and skilled in both canvas and on paper helped Ang Kiukok to be one of the most recognized Filipino artists we have today.
