Juvenal Sanso
Juvenal Sanso is a Spanish-born painter best known for his surreal landscapes. His graphic and textured works are painted in bright palettes, culled from his memories of an idyllic childhood in the Philippines, filled with lush plant life and beaming tropical skies. An example of one of his surreal landscapes was the area of France’s northwestern region, Brittany. Sanso continuously visited this scenic area every summer for more than 25 years and continues to paint it’s rocks and waves from memory alone. For Sanso, art is the extraordinary expression of humanity by an exceptional person.
